Key Survey 7.1 Increases Flexibility, Functionality

Braintree, MA (PRWEB) October 21, 2008 -- WorldAPP (www.worldapp.com), already the global leader in online data-collection platforms, has significantly enhanced its enterprise data collection and integration product, Key Survey, with a series of plug-ins, add-ons and innovative features.

Release 7.1 follows careful analysis of customer feedback and WorldAPP's ongoing research. It extends specific on-demand functionality of Key Survey (http://www.keysurvey.com/features/) by introducing plug-ins that strengthen the users' control and customization of their surveys. Key Survey Professional, Workgroup and Enterprise users can leverage plug-ins across various facets of the application, including surveys, forms, administration and reporting, greatly enhancing the flexibility of use.

That flexibility, the key in Key Survey, is made possible by its plug-ins. They can be added directly to reports, further customizing and enhancing the presentation of analyzed data, or they might be applied to a survey or form, further automating or enhancing data collection.

For example, tools available in Key Survey 7.1 allow a user to capture IP addresses; to pinpoint a respondent's location by city, state, country and postal code; and to restrict access to the survey based on an IP address.

Other plug-ins give customers the ability to randomize and weight questions, to redirect users based on a quota or on the answers they provide and to specify the hours that a survey will be available. A customer may decide, for example, that a survey should be available every day, but only from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.

While such fine-grained customization--and much more--is possible with the plug-ins of Key Survey 7.1, other tools also enhance its functionality. Among the visual and interactive add-ons, "Slider" replaces numeric input with a slider control, returning data as a numeric value; "Exclusive" disables all other checkboxes in a question if a respondent selects a checkbox marked exclusive (for example "n/a"); and "Calendar" displays a calendar next to a text field for selecting dates.

For business platforms, plug-ins are available for Workgroup and Enterprise (http://www.keysurvey.com/enterprise/) users to provide more control and meet data-management needs. They include respondent registration, allowing users to create a registration form that respondents can access with a password, and form authentication, replacing standard password protection for surveys with a log-in and password.

Additional new features available on Key Survey 7.1 include improved multilingual functionality, the ability to attach files to e-mail reminders and an option to show or hide answers in all questions based on logical conditions.
